Buckhorn Volunteer Fire Department was founded by a
group of dedicated and concerned citizens who gave of their time
and money to make our community a safer place for all of us. We
will always cherish and respect their vision and we are forever
grateful for their efforts. We will strive to live up to the
fine examples set by them and we will continue to build upon the
firm foundation that they have laid for us, preserving our
heritage and forging our future.
Local volunteer fire departments play a vital role in
communities like Buckhorn all over America. Whether you are
visiting from a few miles away or from the other coast, please
give whatever you can to help your local volunteer fire and
rescue departments. Everything we do is for our community, and
without the support of local citizens like yourself, we could
not exist.
Buckhorn Volunteer Fire Department is funded by The
Commonwealth of Virginia, Mecklenburg County, and Private
Donations.
